Cookie policy

We don't set any non-essential cookies, so you won't see a cookie banner here. This page explains what is stored on your device and what changes when you click through to a shop.

What we store on your device

Name and type	Purpose	Kept for
`trova-theme` Local storage, not a cookie	Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Only set when you press the theme button.	Until you clear your browser data
[CONFIRM: e.g. `__cf_bm`, `cf_clearance`] Strictly necessary cookie, set by Cloudflare	Only if enabled: tells real visitors apart from bots and remembers that you passed a security check.	[30 minutes / per Cloudflare]

The theme setting never leaves your browser and we can't read it. Strictly necessary items like these don't need your consent under the ePrivacy rules, because the site can't provide what you asked for without them.

Analytics without cookies

Our analytics provider, [Plausible / Cloudflare Web Analytics], counts visits without setting cookies or reading anything from your device. See the privacy policy for what it collects.

After you click through to a retailer

Links to shops are usually affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, you leave Trova. The affiliate network and the retailer may set cookies on their websites to record that you came from us, so we can be paid a commission if you buy. These cookies are set by them, not by us, and they are covered by their own cookie and privacy policies. Their sites should ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We don't set these cookies on trova.run and we can't read them.

How to control cookies and storage

To reset the theme setting, clear site data for trova.run in your browser settings.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, including third-party cookies set after you click through. Trova will still work.
If you block cookies on a retailer's site, it may not be able to record that you came from us. That doesn't change the price you pay.

Changes

If we ever add a cookie that isn't strictly necessary, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before setting it.
